Apple has just released public beta 3 for watchOS 26, tvOS 26, and HomePod 26. Here are the details.
Apple’s public beta 3 releases offer the same updates as developer beta 6
Earlier this week Apple shipped developer beta 6 for its forthcoming major software updates like iOS 26, watchOS 26, and more.
Today, those new updates have been released to public testers as public beta 3.
For the most part, this latest wave of betas prioritizes bug fixes and stability.
watchOS 26, tvOS 26, and HomePod 26 so far have revealed no noticeable feature updates in the new betas.
The biggest changes were found in iOS 26, which added new ringtones, Liquid Glass updates, and more. Those revisions are available in today’s public beta 3.

The lack of visible new or updated features in Apple’s other platforms isn’t much of a surprise.
At this point in the summer, we’re little more than one month away from these major software versions shipping to all users.
As a result, forthcoming betas are likely to focus on eliminating bugs, improving performance, and overall ensuring a successful public launch.
On the plus side, that means today’s public beta 3 updates should be more stable than any prior builds have been.
