Martin, 6-4, 265, joins the Saints after stints on the practice squad with the Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, and Green Bay Packers in 2024. The San Bernardino, Calif. native began his professional career by signing as an undrafted free agent with Cleveland following the 2023 NFL Draft out of the University of Washington, leading the Browns in the 2023 preseason with two sacks.
In five collegiate seasons with Texas A&M (2018-20) and Washington (2021-22), he played in 56 games with 14 starts, posting career totals of 64 tackles (38 solo), 9.5 sacks, one pass breakup, and two forced fumbles. During his final season with the Huskies in 2022 when he was selected a team captain, he was named first team All-Pac-12 by the Associated Press and league coaches after posting career-highs in tackles (41), solo stops (24), stops for a loss (11), and sacks (8.5).
