Or at least that was the vibe the “Friends” alum gave off when the tech billionaire’s name was mentioned in a recent profile with Vanity Fair.
In the piece, author Julie Miller was speaking to Aniston about her role as journalist Alex Levy in the Apple TV+ series “The Morning Show” and how the writers incorporate real-life news and politics into the narratives. Miller then went on to point out that Alex’s love interest in the show seemed a lot like the real-life Tesla CEO.
The mere comparison prompted a raw reaction from Anison.
Miller captured the moment by writing:
“When I note that her character’s love interest, a billionaire played by Jon Hamm, seems reminiscent of Elon Musk—they’re both daredevil rocket builders—she swats away the comparison, in part because ‘I don’t find him desirable in any way or shape.’”
Although Musk’s interest in the letter X, populating Mars with his offspring and dismantling the government clearly gives the “Murder Mystery” star the ick, there are plenty of female celebrities who, at least at some time, found Musk’s awkward steampunk/robot energy appealing.
Actor Amber Heard dated Musk on and off from 2016 to 2018. According to Heard, their romance began shortly after her split from actor Johnny Depp. Heard said that when she first got to know Musk at the 2016 Met Gala, she found him to be a “real gentleman” and “nice,” per People.
In 2018, Musk embarked on a romance with musician Grimes, and in 2020, the then-couple announced they were expecting their first child, a son they eventually named X Æ A-12, or X for short.

“It was really profound to me when I decided I was going to do it,” Grimes said in an interview about having a child, per People. “To actually go through the act of unprotected sex. … I do actually just really love my boyfriend. So I was like, ‘You know, sure.’”
