Last week, The Sports Gossip Show released a podcast episode revealing that Jordon Hudson had called one of the show’s hosts, kickstarting an extended period of “bizarre” communications.
And while Hudson hasn’t directly responded to the episode, she clearly wasn’t a fan, as evidenced by a post she reshared on social media.
In the post, which the 24-year-old reposted from another user to her Instagram story, the original author took issue with the aforementioned podcast. In the episode, co-host Charlotte Wilder revealed that Hudson — who you may have heard is dating Bill Belichick — cold-called her to discuss the show’s coverage of her participation in the Miss Maine USA pageant and nearly agreed to be interviewed on the podcast before an abrupt falling out.
“This was such a disappointing take for me,” the user with the Instagram handle @sportslawheather wrote over a clip from the podcast on the post that Hudson shared. “She shouldn’t because the money/fame means more to someone else?? Because of her boyfriend??>> Be real. Do I have to seriously argue against (female!) sports journalists that @jordon has is justified in pursuing @missmeusa @missamerica for her own career and interests regardless of who she is dating??”

The post appears to be referencing the original Miss Maine-focused podcast episode, which Hudson originally called Wilder about. The former Bridgewater State cheerleader even announced herself as “Jordon Hudson, the president of your universe” — a callback to a comment the show made on said episode.
Following a lengthy phone conversation, Wilder eventually looped in co-host Madeline Hill, with the trio engaging in multiple phone and text conversations. Plans for Hudson to appear on The Sports Gossip Show hit a snag when she learned the podcast was joining The Athletic — whose reporting she hasn’t appreciated — but recovered to the point that she was considering flying to New York to appear on the show in-person.
But on the day the interview was expected to potentially happen, Wilder received another call from Hudson, who was upset after listening to the Miss Maine episode, which the show’s hosts were under the impression she had already heard. The emotional nature of the call was especially striking to Wilder, who had already told Hudson that she and Hill would be discussing their communications with her on the show whether or not an interview materialized.
“She’s yelling at me. She’s crying. She said that she finished the rest of the Miss Maine episode and she didn’t like what we said,” Wilder recalled. “And I was like ‘wait what?’ I was like, ‘I thought we’ve been talking about the Miss Maine episode that we did that you watched the whole time?’… we had a feeling that there was this tension in the calls. It felt like we were always waiting for the other shoe to drop.
“… I was like, ‘What are you doing?’ You know, you want to like save her from herself. You’re like, person to person, don’t do this. In our roles, this is what we have to say you did now.”
The Sports Gossip Show episode regarding the hosts’ conversations with Hudson also made national headlines as she compared her role working with Belichick to being Taylor Swift’s publicist. All things considered, it had been a quiet few months for college football’s most famous girlfriend. But coincidentally or not, that no longer seems to be the case as Belichick’s first season as the head coach of North Carolina approaches.
