WWE fans are definitely in for a treat as John Cena is confirmed to open the August 8th episode of Friday Night SmackDown live from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
WWE took to their official Twitter account and confirmed that the Leader of Cenation will be kicking off the highly anticipated episode tonight, where he is set to address Brock Lesnar attacking him at SummerSlam last week.
Adding even more excitement to the night, The Motor City Machine Guns will be competing against two members of MFT in tag team action. It’s unclear who will be going against Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley, but that’ll be confirmed when the show starts.
Finally, Cody Rhodes will be making his first appearance after defeating John Cena to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion. With Clash in Paris right around the corner, there’re tons of excitement and speculation when it comes to Rhodes’ next feud.
With John Cena reacting to Brock Lesnar’s surprise return, The Motor City Machine Guns in a highly anticipated tag match, and Cody Rhodes speaking for the first time as champion, tonight’s SmackDown is set to be one of the most talked-about episodes of the year.
