This has been a summer of transfer setbacks for Newcastle, but there are a couple of new signings on show tonight.
Aaron Ramsdale makes his debut for the club, following his
loan move from Southampton, while youngster Park Seung-soo will make his first
appearance at St James’ Park.
Eddie Howe will use one XI for this game and another for the
visit of Atletico Madrid tomorrow.
Dan Burn, Fabian Schar, Lewis Hall, Bruno Guimaraes and Jacob
Murphy are among the regulars who will also feature against Espanyol, but Nick
Pope, Kieran Trippier, Tino Livramento, Sandro Tonali, Joelinton, Anthony
Elanga and Anthony Gordon have been kept back for the friendly against Atletico
Madrid.
