Invincible Vs was recently unveiled as a new 3v3 fighting game coming in 2026. The characters revealed during its first trailer consisted of Invincible, Omni Man, Atom Eve, Thula, Lucan and Bulletproof.
Earlier today, the developers have revealed Rex Splode to be the first new character to join Invincible Vs since its initial debut trailer. We even get a good glimpse of Rex Splode’s gameplay with the latest video that was dropped.
As one might expect from this type of character, Rex Splode has access to a few different projectiles. However, it’s not entirely clear if he’s of the zoning archetype.
During the trailer, Rex Splode is shown incorporating projectiles into his combos. Overall, he doesn’t appear to be using ranged attacks in a traditional way.
Like all of the other characters that have had demonstrations thus far, Rex Splode seems to have a good emphasis on his combos. Many of his explosive attacks appear to cause opponents to experience a ground bounce.
Overall, his toolkit is shown to be quite unique compared to the other fighters. The entire trailer doesn’t even last for a full minute, but it feels like it gives a good sense of what Rex Splode is all about in this short time frame.
