Mid-afternoon US stock sweep
We just did a mid-afternoon US stock sweep and came up empty. Fortunately, Amazon is still accepting invites to be notified when stock is available. Don’t forget that Best Buy will have restocks on July 17 to coincide with the launch of Donkey Kong Bananza.
Prepare for Donkey Kong Bananza
We posted about this earlier, but in case you missed it, this week marks the launch of Donkey Kong Bananza! This is likely going to be the next must-have Switch 2 exclusive, so you might want to pre-order a copy now even if you haven’t secured a Switch 2. It’s always best to be prepared!
Get the Nintendo Switch 2 camera
The Nintendo Switch 2 Camera is a good and relatively affordable official webcam for anyone who likes being seen when playing online. Its small size makes it easy to situate almost anywhere, and it delivers a sharp enough image. Though not everyone will want or need this peripheral, it’s a neat-looking device that works as advertised.
Amazon US still taking requests
While we don’t know when Amazon is planning to send out more purchase links for Nintendo Switch 2 consoles, we do know the company is letting you request invites still.
You may not get one with the immediacy as the upcoming Best Buy restock, but it’s worth putting a request out there and seeing what happens.
A US stock sweep
It’s been yet another quiet day for Switch 2 stock in the U.S.
The most promising development has been Best Buy announcing a restock for July 17, but that doesn’t help anyone who wants to buy one today. \
We’ve taken another look through the potential stock at U.S. retailers to wrap up the weekend, and it remains a empty. But feel free to peruse the list for yourself:
Best chance to grab a Switch 2 this week
While the U.K. continues to see many restocks, the U.S. has come up empty for Switch 2 consoles (also after a quick sweep just now). However, there are ways to grab one, and that includes at Amazon and Best Buy.
First, Amazon U.S. lets you request an invite that gets you into the system to grab a Switch 2 once there’s one available. If invited, you’ll get an email to purchase one. It’s worth putting in a request, and this one is only for the Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle so far.
Second, Best Buy is having a restock on July 17 (just in time for Donkey Kong Bananza!), with limited quantities at “all Best Buy stores.” It won’t be available online, so you’ll have to head over to your closest Best Buy to pick one up in store.
We’ll be keeping our eyes out in the meantime!
Switch 2 restock at My Nintendo Store (UK)!
It’s been a while, but the Nintendo Switch 2 (console-only) is finally back in stock in the U.K. over at the My Nintendo Store! But you’ll aslo find the Mario Kart World bundle is also available.
The console-only package is the most affordable way to grab a Switch 2, so if you’ve been waiting for it, now’s the time to grab it! It’s not been available for quite some time at any retailer, so we’re glad to see it finally back in stock.
Grab a Switch 2 with Donkey Kong Bananza at Very UK!
With Donkey Kong Bananza being the big craze this week, anyone in the U.K. after a Switch 2 to play the next major exclusive may want to jump on this pre-order bundle at Very.
You can grab a Switch 2 Mario Kart World Bundle along with Donkey Kong Bananza at the retailer, and it will go for delivery on the big Bananza launch day on Thursday, July 17th. It’s only a few days away, so pre-order it now so you can get set up with the Switch 2 and hop right into DK’s smashing adventure.
There’s also other bundles worth checking out, along with the usual Switch 2 with Mario Kart World (although that won’t arrive until July 18th).

Speaking of Donkey Kong! Don’t forget to pre-order Bananza
With Best Buy’s latest restock coinciding with the launch of Donkey Kong Bananza, it’s set to be a big week for the lovable ape, and if you already own a Nintendo Switch 2, you’re not going to want to miss this new 3D platformer from the Mario Odyssey team.
You can pre-order Donkey Kong Bananza for Switch 2 now at retailers including Amazon, Walmart, GameStop and Best Buy. It’ll cost $69 at launch – that’s $10 cheaper than Mario Kart World – and looks like a colorful adventure with plenty to collect. Based on what we’ve seen, I think it might be the Switch’s first real system seller.
Best Buy confirms Switch 2 restock for DK day!
As noted, it’s a big week for Switch 2 due to the release of Donkey Kong Bananza on Thursday (July 17), and Best Buy will be marking what I’m now calling “DK Day” with an in-store restock.
This is the first confirmed restock of the week, and while there will be no units available online, and “limited quantities,” the retailer does note “All Best Buy stores” will have stock, so this could be one of the best chances to score a Switch 2 this month.
Considering Donkey Kong Bananza is the first major release for the Switch 2 since its launch, it’ll be a great time to pick up the console as you’ll have the whole launch library and a new DK adventure to enjoy. So, don’t miss this in-store drop at Best Buy.
Register for an “invite to buy” at Amazon
The big news last week, in case you missed it, was that Amazon U.S. finally woke up and entered the Nintendo Switch 2 restock game.
After being absent during the pre-order phase, and missing the boat during launch week, the silence was broken as Amazon U.S.’s Switch 2 listing pages went live, and shoppers were offered the chance to “request an invite.”
If selected, you are given the chance to purchase a console. It’s a system designed to provide serve overloads during restocks, and has worked well in the past.
Currently, the standalone Switch 2 isn’t letting you request an invite, it would seem Amazon U.S. has sold out of inventory, but you can still request one for the Mario Kart Bundle, so if you’re looking for a Switch 2 this week be sure to get your name down.
Switch 2 in stock at Argos (UK)
Let’s kick off the week with a confirmed restock over in the U.K. Right now, you can pick up a Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart Bundle for £429 over at Argos.
There’s no strings here; you can select either “click & collect” or home delivery, with the former potentially allowing you to get your hands on a Switch 2 as early as today. Or if you’d rather get the console sent directly to you, you’ll get free delivery as well.
Argos has consistently been one of the best places to get a Switch 2 in the U.K.
