It’s hard to believe that new features and specs for Google’s Pixel 10 flagships, which are scheduled to launch on August 20, 2025, are still being discovered. Since the hardware itself is not much of a secret anymore, leakers have now uncovered some new AI software features that are intended to improve the camera and photo editing experience on Google’s new smartphones. The latter will reportedly be possible via voice command thanks to “Conversational Photo Editing”.
For example, the Gemini-based AI feature will allow Pixel 10 users to remove the background of an image or a part of an image using their voice. Classic editing options such as changing contrast or brightness might also be available via voice commands. According to Android Headlines, the voice-based editing features will only be available on Pixel 10 phones at launch, but it will probably also come to older Pixel phones like the Pixel 9 (from $599 on Amazon) later via a future Pixel Feature Drop.
This could also apply to the second AI-based camera feature called “Camera Coach”. Like the name suggests, this is a kind of coach that can give real-time advice on the best way to take a picture of a particular scene, for example by changing the shooting angle or adjusting the exposure. Gemini is active in the background and analyzes the scene to hopefully provide helpful hints for better pictures. While the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro should be available fairly soon after launch, this is not expected to be the case for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and Google’s latest wearables.
