Samsung commenced internal testing of One UI 8 Beta 1 for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. The company is gearing up to expand the One UI 8 Beta Program next week. The two foldables are among the eligible devices for Beta.
The first Beta builds (spotted by TarunVats) carry build versions F741BXXU2ZYH1 and F956BXXU2ZYH1 for the Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6, respectively. These versions may or may not be released as the first Beta, as changes may occur.
Recently, the first One UI 8 Beta builds have been spotted on Samsung’s software server for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. The Beta Program is set to kick off on August 11 in the US, as well as in India, South Korea, and the UK.
What to expect
One UI 8 Beta is based on the Android 16 operating system. It’s a significant upgrade over the Android 15-based One UI 7. Samsung focused on refining the user interface and streamlining the user experience through key tweaks.
The Galaxy AI feature segment is seeing a major upgrade in terms of usability. Stock apps now have more power in One UI 8, unlocking useful tools. The overall system stability has also been improved for user convenience.
One UI 8 Rollout Timeline
Earlier, Samsung announced the expansion of its One UI Beta. The first phase was launched for the Galaxy S25 series. The second phase will be covering flagship devices released in 2024, including the S24 series and foldables.

One UI 8 Beta is available on the S25 series since May 2025. Samsung confirmed these devices will start receiving an official version in September. Besides, another One UI Beta expansion has been planned for next month.
With Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6 getting their first Beta next week, the Stable update might also come out in September. It will arrive a little late after the initial rollout begins for the Galaxy S25 series, as Samsung confirmed.
