With the release of Sagat for Street Fighter 6, people have been digging around for tech and information nonstop, finding interesting things such as near-full screen whiff punishes.
One of the main people to look for when it comes to new character releases, though, is of course Desk who always finds some very interesting combos and tech — and Sagat is no different.
There’s a lot of good shots in this early Sagat combo video and while most of them lean more into combo video territory than practical use, there’s definitely good stuff to absorb here if you’re trying to learn the character.
While it probably won’t be happening in a real match any time soon, my personal favorite is the one where Sagat punishes a blocked headstomp from M. Bison with a Tiger Shot into … many, many more projectiles to follow.
There’s also punish combos featuring three high step kicks in a row, a full-screen projectile hit leading into a combo thanks to Sagat’s extremely long limbs and an absolutely brutally damaging sequence on Akuma towards the end of the video.
