Just yesterday during Evo 2025, SNK released an animated trailer depicting a fight scene between Street Fighter’s Ken and Fatal Fury’s Terry. This was create to celebrate the inclusion of Ken as a DLC fighter in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.
At the end of this trailer, it was revealed that Ken would become available later that day. As such, players around the world are now able to play as Ken within Fatal Fury.
At the conclusion of Terry’s arcade mode, it felt like Capcom and SNK were dropping hints about a future crossover. We saw something similar with Terry’s introduction into Street Fighter 6.
During World Tour mode, it’s possible to trigger a special interaction between Ryu and Terry (assuming they’ve downloaded the DLC for Terry). Needless to say, there’s some interesting dialogue that happens here.
“Though different, our paths will certainly cross again,” says Ryu to Terry at one point. “Until next time. Whenever that may be.”
“You can bet on that,” simply responds Terry.
Additionally, Terry has a special interaction with Ken during his own arcade playthrough in Street Fighter 6. Ken’s story in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves appears to be a continuation of what happened in Terry’s story from Street Fighter 6.
“Knowing guys like you who just keep at it, without changing a thing… You’re a good guy,” said Ken to Terry after their fight together.
“Glad to hear it,” then said Terry. “So that means next time we meet, you’re going to bring the extra hot stuff, right?”
Evidently, this was a big hint towards Ken’s inclusion in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. In their intro together, Ken assures Terry that he’s brought the “extra hot stuff” this time, just like they had discussed during the events of Street Fighter 6.
However, there’s now an even more interesting conversation that can be heard between Ken and Terry in Fatal Fury. It seems to be hinting at something more than just one or two characters joining up in the future.
“Ah, just thinkin’… About makin’ a trip to Metro City myself,” said Terry to Ken as he’s getting ready to depart. “Metro City, South Town… A tussle of two cities. Know what I’m sayin’?”
“Makes you wonder, huh?” responded Ken.
“For real! Just imagine: Tizoc and Zangief in a clash of titans…” interjected Terry. “Taekwondo thrill seekers Dong Hwan and Juri goin’ at it… Rock and Luke in a battle of new blood…”
“… The Kyokugen guys against Ryu himself, even,” declared Ken.
“Exactly… We’d be mixin’ it up with everyone too, of course,” said Terry. “Story writes itself, don’tcha think?”
Needless to say, Ken seemed pretty open to the idea of this eventually happening. In a way, it feels like another hint from Capcom and SNK about the possibility of a future collaboration.
Not too long ago, we learned that Capcom vs. SNK 3 was actually in development at one point, but had to be canceled due to SNK going bankrupt at the time. At this point, it’s been around 24 years since Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001, so perhaps it’s finally time for Capcom and SNK to potentially revisit this idea.
