Galaxy S25 FE specs leak with thinner design, smaller battery

A new leak reveals that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 FE will be pretty familiar on the whole, but with a weird shuffle in its battery and charging specs.

Leaker @MysteryLupin took to Twitter/X earlier today to reveal a fairly complete list of the core Galaxy S25 FE specs, and there aren’t many surprises. Like its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 FE will have a 6.7-inch AMOLED display at 120Hz and feature a 50MP rear camera backed up by 12MP and 8MP sensors.

But there are tweaks beyond that.

For starters, the front-facing camera will be a 12MP sensor in place of the previous 10MP sensor. The chipset will also be Exynos 2400, replacing Exynos 2400e from the prior generation. That’s probably going to be a lateral move for users on the whole, but it should provide a predictable experience with 8GB of RAM and One UI 8 out of the box.

The more impactful change seems to be in the power department. The Galaxy S25 FE will apparently drop to a 4,500 mAh battery from its previous 4,700 mAh battery. This is seemingly due to the thinner profile of the device, as previous leaks revealed a 7.4mm profile. That’s down from 8mm on the Galaxy S24 FE. Is that worth the trade-off? The difference is probably negligible, but it’s an interesting move for a budget-oriented device to be certain.

At the very least, charging should make up for it, as the Galaxy S25 FE apparently upgrades charging from 25W on the prior generation to 45W.

The other change coming, likely mainly as a result of the battery loss, is that the Galaxy S25 FE will be considerably lighter at 190g.

Samsung has already confirmed that Galaxy S25 FE will see an earlier release date, so we might see it sometime later in August or early in September with that in mind. Last year, Galaxy S24 FE was released in October.
