On Monday, former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was seen dining in Montreal with singer Katy Perry.
TMZ captured pictures of the pair on a dinner date at the restaurant Le Violon. In the photos, Perry is seen smiling while speaking with Trudeau. A source told the outlet that they ordered two cocktails and shared several dishes together, including one with lobster.
Security guards were reportedly monitoring both the “Roar” singer and Trudeau. They sat at the bar with their backs turned, but watched the date through mirrored glass. Additionally, the chef greeted Perry and Trudeau after their meal and the pair also went back to the kitchen to thank the staff personally.
It’s unclear if this was a date or just a friendly dinner.
Perry is currently in Canada for her “The Lifetimes Tour.” She is performing in Ottawa on Tuesday, but will return to Montreal on Wednesday for a show.
The news of their meeting comes weeks after news broke that Perry and Orlando Bloom had broken up. The Hollywood power duo, who began dating in 2016, got engaged in 2019, but never married. They currently share one daughter together, Daisy Dove Bloom, who is 4 years old.
Meanwhile, Trudeau and his ex-wife Sophie separated in 2023 after 18 years of marriage. They share kids Xavier, Ella-Grace, and Hadrien together.
