UPDATE: Four people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following a shooting on a field at the Tyner Recreation Complex Saturday afternoon.
Chattanooga police say there is currently no threat to the public, but still no word on a suspect or any arrests.
Reports of gunfire at Ty Hi Drive came in just after 3:00pm.
“Everybody was just having a good time,” said eyewitness Jeoff Herman. “Then all the sudden shots just started going everywhere. Little kids and babies and everything were on the ground. It was bad, real bad.”

During the mass panic and confusion after shots rang out, reunion-goers Local 3 spoke with fled, while others got on the ground and took cover.
Police are asking community members to avoid the area as they clear the scene.

Several people were injured during the shooting and while leaving the scene, a CPD spokesperson told Local 3. All victims have been transported to the hospital.
Police are asking community members to avoid the area.
Witnesses on scene tell us that there was a class reunion happening this weekend at the center, and there was “chaos” when the first shots rang out.
There is currently no threat to the public.
