If you’ve been begging for Capcom to resurrect Dino Crisis, then Code Violet may be the next best thing when it releases exclusively on PS5 from 14th November. It’ll cost £39.99/$49.99.
Much like the excellent Resident Evil 2 remake, American developer TeamKill Entertainment has swapped fixed camera angles and tank controls for an over-the-shoulder third-person perspective here.
The gameplay shows off all kinds of prehistoric creatures, including a brief glimpse of a boss fight against a colossal T-Rex which looms large over the heroine.

Pre-orders – which are available now on the PS Store – come with a bunch of bonus content, including:
- Retro American Bombshell Pinup Set
- Military Pinup Outfit
- Pinup Swimsuit Outfit
- Annihilator Sub-Machine Gun
- Retro Cherry Pie Earrings
If you really like the look of the game, you can also stump up £49.99/$59.99 for a Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes a PSN profile avatar, an official soundtrack, and the following five outfits:
- DinoMatrix
- Ms. Sassy Sinclair
- Star Shadow Siren
- Big Sky Cowgirl
- Sugar and Spice
Here’s the game’s official blurb, courtesy of TeamKill Media:
“In the 25th century, a cataclysm has left Earth uninhabitable, driving humanity’s survivors to Trappist 1-E. Facing extinction due to sterility, the Aion colony harnesses cutting-edge time-travel technology to abduct women from the past to be surrogates in a dark yet desperate bid to save mankind. But their mission conceals a sinister conspiracy. As Violet Sinclair, torn from your time, you awaken in the Aion Bioengineering Complex, swarming with ferocious prehistoric dinosaurs and hostile forces. Carefully manage your inventory, uncover Aion’s dark secrets, fight to survive, and escape during a chaotic evacuation protocol.”
The full game promises white knuckle survival gameplay, deep inventory management, and full support for all the PS5’s bells-and-whistles, including the DualSense’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
Writing on X (or Twitter) after opening the pre-orders, a spokesperson for the studio said sales so far have been “simply mindblowing”.
It added:
“We are so excited to deliver this game, this gaming experience to all of you, one we’ve all been dying for since the 90s. A modern survival horror dinosaur experience. Thank you to all of you. We appreciate each and every one of you and we can’t wait for you to experience Code Violet.”
