Vantage point: For one red zone period, I was standing right by the upright behind the end zone with the offense coming towards me. It was a great view to watch Goff’s eyes and how he uses them to manipulate or look off defenders. It’s an underrated skill for a quarterback and it was cool watching him from that vantage point to see how the defenders reacted to it.
Big play: The Lions have so many skill weapons we sometimes forget about veteran Kalif Raymond. Not only is Raymond one of the best punt returners in the league, but he’s a reliable receiver as well. In a team period vs. the defense, Goff hit Raymond on the right sideline and Raymond spun away from cornerback Amik Robertson and finished with a long touchdown.
