Elden Ring Nightreign DLC Revealed as The Forsaken Hollows, Out 4th December

FromSoftware announced its major Elden Ring Nightreign expansion during Sony’s own State of Play Japan livestream today. Available for PS5, PS5 from 4th December 2025, it’s called The Forsaken Hollows, and you can catch a glimpse in the trailer above.

The DLC will introduce two new character classes and two additional bosses to fight. The fresh Nightfarers are called the Scholar and the Undertaker, with the PlayStation Blog offering a brief explanation of the two:

Scholar
An academic who walks the Lands Between. Boasting impressive arcane levels, he gains incredible advantages through battlefield observation.
Undertaker
An abbess who was mandated to slay the Nightlord. Boasting impressive strength and faith, she sends enemies to the afterlife with ruthless efficiency.

The new bosses aren’t detailed, but there will also be a new Shifting Earth map event to investigate. The Great Hollow opens up a “great cavity in the depths of Limveld. The hollow is strewn with exotic ruins and temples; sacred towers denoting the remains of an ancient people; and crystals that exude a cursed, life-draining miasma.”

Anyone who bought the Deluxe Edition of the game gets the DLC included with their purchase, but you can still upgrade your copy and get The Forsaken Hollows DLC if you only own the base game now.
