Let’s be honest. People Magazine hasn’t always had the best picker when it comes to naming the “Sexiest Man Alive.”
For every great pick (Michael B. Jordan, Channing Tatum, Idris Elba), you get at least one dud (apologies to Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and John Krasinski, but come on).
However, this year, People got it right.
Late Monday night, the magazine announced its 2025 “Sexiest Man Alive” and that man … is Jonathan Bailey.
If you don’t know who Bailey is, you clearly have been focusing on the wrong things for the last few years.
The British actor (yeah, of course he’s British), 37, played Lord Anthony on “Bridgerton,” Fiyero in “Wicked,” and some guy with glasses in that new Jurassic Park movie.

According to People, “Bailey, who was raised in rural Oxfordshire with three older sisters by his mom, Carole, and dad, Stuart, knew he wanted to be an actor at age 5 after seeing a performance of ‘Oliver!’ with his grandmother.”
Older sisters? No wonder he’s so likable.
Bailey is also, and this is the year 2025, so you might want to sit down for this, the first openly gay “Sexiest Man Alive.”
And, he did the photo shoot for the magazine with his dog Benson, who is the only living thing he told about his newest honor before it went live on Monday.
Good choice? No, perfect choice. Now, please enjoy the best part of that Jurassic Park movie: His glasses.
