Why the AURALEE × New Balance T500 is the refined drop of the season

First teased during Paris Fashion Week in January, AURALEE’s collaboration with New Balance has finally hit shelves. Taking on one of New Balance’s less represented models, the pair is getting ready to thrust the T500 back into the spotlight with plenty of style and modern details. Arriving in two colorways, the collaborative sneaker dons a new premium appearance, thanks to quality materials that undoubtedly elevate its design. First launched in 1982 as a tennis sneaker, the T500 has undergone plenty of changes with the help of collaborators like Aime Leon Dore, which have brought some attention back to the silhouette. A classic model for anyone looking for an ideal everyday sneaker, the suede design offers a versatile look that can easily outlast the trends.

AURALEE and New Balance reimagine the underrated T500

Although New Balance is home to plenty of other models that steal the spotlight, the T500 offers a comfortable balance between timeless and modern that’s ideal for almost any wardrobe. Crafted as an “elevated leisure” footwear option, the T500 arrives in two earth-toned hues that are easy to style in any situation. For AURALEE’s collaboration, the T500 comes in either premium nubuck and suede uppers or all-leather uppers. Both versions include rubber midsoles and outsoles, along with co-branded sockliners. Completing the look is a puffed “N” logo on the side panels, incorporating the traditional New Balance touch.

Available in either “Java” or “Aspargus Green”, the AURALEE x New Balance T500 retails for $130 each. Users can purchase their pair via AURALEE’s webstore or New Balance platforms. Although the T500 hasn’t received as much attention as other New Balance models, it’s an excellent option for those looking to add the same level of comfort and practicality with a slightly more refined appearance.
