KSL.com Pick’em: Staff picks for Week 10 of college football

SALT LAKE CITY — With five more weeks left in the regular season, the final stretch becomes pivotal for teams chasing a conference title or bowl eligibility.

BYU and Utah State are off this week, which means we have four national games to choose from, including the latest remnants of the former Pac-12 in Oregon State and Washington State in a quasi Pac-12 championship game before next year’s expansion.

There’s also an American Conference matchup that could determine the final spot in this year’s College Football Playoff, with an undefeated Navy traveling to Texas to take on a tough North Texas team looking to stay on top.

And then it’s a Mountain West meeting between New Mexico and UNLV. The Lobos feature a coach will almost certainly get several calls this offseason — assuming none have already taken place — for a new landing spot, while the Rebels look to maintain a top spot in the conference.

We then jump to the ACC to see if Virginia can maintain its winning run against Cal and its dynamic freshman QB Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele.

And lastly, it’s ranked vs. ranked matchup between two Big 12 vying for a spot in the Big 12 championship. It serves as one of the toughest games of the season for Cincinnati, while giving Utah one more chance to prove if it can beat a good team this season.

Head on over to KSL.com College Pick’em and fill out your weekly ballot before the games start.
