Samsung seems to be committed to making Exynos SoCs a bigger deal in its own flagship lineup, and that likely starts with the Exynos 2600 in the Galaxy S26 series.
Without saying it outright, Samsung seems to have noted that it wants the Exynos 2600 to bring a big punch to the smartphone market. The company’s recent earnings call packs a lot of information about Samsung’s standings in several markets, including memory, SoC, and flagship development.
After discussing high profits in the memory sector amidst growing costs, Samsung mentions Exynos without specifying any models or chipsets.
In 2026, the System LSI Business plans to strengthen the competitiveness of the Exynos processor for key flagship models and leverage differentiated image sensor technologies to broaden market presence.
This comes as Samsung’s Exynos 2600 is rumored to be a massive part of the Galaxy S26 lineup next year. Previous reports peg the Exynos 2600 as the main, and only SoC for the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. It reportedly offers better CPU performance than Apple’s A19 Pro chipset and GPU performance that has as much as a 75% increase. Qualcomm’s latest SoC is reportedly 30% less effective.
The quoted earnings call is light on details, put frankly. It does, however, highlight the fact that Samsung is looking to make its own chipset lineup more appealing.
Strengthening that would mean putting the Exynos 2600 on a higher pedestal and offering it in its flagship devices in the US, as well. It would also mean bringing that supposedly top-tier processor to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which has historically used Snapdragon chipsets since 2022.
