Valve Is Rumored To Be Working On The Half-Life 3 Trailer Right Now

Half-Life fans have taken so many grains of salt that I’m surprised we don’t all have hypernatremia. But today’s rumour is no exception. According to reputable Valve reporter Tyler McVicker, a Half-Life 3 trailer is currently in production and might drop as soon as November.

“Let’s tentatively get excited for November,” McVicker said. “Let’s mellow out. Let’s be very chill about a possible thing happening soon. Maybe. Who knows?”

The current rumour that’s going around is that work on the trailer is occurring.

This isn’t a string of code unearthed from the rubble of a Counter-Strike 2 update, or a tease straight from G-Man himself: it’s a rumour. And as McVicker stressed in his new HLX Files video, if this rumour doesn’t pan out, it does not mean that Half-Life 3 has been cancelled. Plenty of references to its development are still being uncovered.

That being said, if the rumour does pan out, and we get a trailer in November, then we might be playing Half-Life 3 as soon as next year.

Since Valve isn’t a publicly traded company, it could theoretically sit on Half-Life 3 for as long as it needs to polish…
