The Sussex family of four is having some weekend fun at the pumpkin patch.
As Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand As Ever prepares to drop something on October 28—a launch the Duchess of Sussex has been teasing for days now—she took some time away from work to carve pumpkins and have some Halloween fun with her family. In a clip shared on her Instagram on October 26, Prince Harry impressively carved a pumpkin, even digging out the guts of the pumpkin in what appears to be the Sussex family backyard in Montecito, California. Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland was also on hand, carving her own pumpkin.
The family also visited a pumpkin patch, complete with a scarecrow, Prince Archie running through a corn maze, and Princess Lilibet admiring pumpkins and riding in a wagon full of them, set to the tune of the Mamas and the Papas’ “California Dreamin’.”
“Happy Sunday 🎃🧡,” Meghan captioned the reel.

Halloween will always hold a special spot in Harry and Meghan’s romance, as it was the last night of freedom the couple had in 2016 before their relationship became public. The two had been dating for a few months when they had one last night of anonymity as a couple at a Halloween party in Toronto, Canada, where Meghan was filming Suits at the time; they were joined by Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie and her then-boyfriend (and now husband) Jack Brooksbank.

After Archie and Lilibet were born, Halloween became all about the kids, with Meghan telling Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show in 2021—which would have been Lilibet’s first Halloween—that “We wanted to do something fun for the kids, and then the kids were just not into it at all!”

“Archie was a dinosaur for maybe five minutes,” Meghan said before DeGeneres added, “Not even five minutes. Finally Harry talked him into putting his head on. But Lili was a skunk.”
“She was a little skunk!” Meghan chimed in, saying her daughter was dressed up like “Flower from Bambi”—an extra layer of significance, as Meghan’s childhood nickname from her mother Ragland was, sweetly, “Flower.”
