Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau Spotted “Making Out” in New PDA-Heavy Photos

After being spotted together in a highly-publicized outing back in July, Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau have laid low—but it appears there is still very much a connection between the two.

The singer and the former Canadian prime minister packed on the PDA while on a yacht off the coast of Santa Barbara, California, as seen in photos obtained by The Daily Mail on October 12. The two can be seen kissing and embracing three months after the two were originally seen out to dinner at Le Violon in Montreal, just weeks after Perry announced the end of her engagement to Orlando Bloom after nine years together. Perry and Bloom share 5-year-old daughter Daisy Dove, and Trudeau has three children with ex Sophie Grégoire; the two separated after 18 years of marriage in 2023.

Two days after Perry and Trudeau were originally seen out to dinner in the Canadian city, Trudeau was in the audience at Perry’s Lifetimes tour show in Montreal. Per People, the pair sparked an “instant connection,” and a source said back in August, “They are interested in each other, but it will take a while to see where this goes.”

“She is traveling around the world, and he is figuring out his life now that he is no longer prime minister of Canada, but there is an attraction,” the insider continued. “They have a lot in common.”

The source added that “Their own personal responsibilities could make this relationship move slower than it would, but there are ways to see the other and still fulfill their parenting responsibilities. For one thing, they each have an ex, so duties are split in half. And long-distance relationships, while still hard, are still possible for these two.”

After their headline-making “casual first get-to-know-you” date—in the words of a different insider speaking to People—the public didn’t hear much, but, based on their recent yacht outing, there’s definitely something in the water here. The outing—which saw Perry in a one-piece black swimsuit and Trudeau shirtless and in long pants—apparently occurred in mid-September, but didn’t hit the airwaves until about a month later.

“She pulled up her boat next to a small public whale-watching boat, then they started making out,” a source told The Daily Mail. “I didn’t realize who she was with until I saw the tattoo on the guy’s arm, and I immediately realized it was Justin Trudeau.”
