Giant bargain outlet opening new store location in Massachusetts

A giant bargain outlet is opening a new location in Massachusetts in October.

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet is America’s largest retailer of closeout merchandise and excess inventory since 1982, according to the store’s website. It sells housewares, flooring, food, cookware, toys, games, electronics and more.

The company buys it’s products from closeouts, overstocks, package changes, manufacturer-refurbished goods and irregulars from manufacturers.

“If a manufacturer makes too much of an item or changes their packaging, Ollie’s will buy the overstock at a discount & pass the savings on to you,” the website states. “You’ll always find famous brand name products at Ollie’s, they just might be last year’s colors, styles, or packaging that traditional retailers won’t sell.”

On Oct. 15, the new location will open in Wallace Plaza in the old Big Lots in Fitchburg. The address is 353 John Fitch Highway.

The outlet has five other locations in Massachusetts, including in Worcester and Pittsfield.
