Ty Simpson Hyped By CFB Fans After 3-TD Game as Kalen DeBoer, Alabama Beat Missouri

Kalen DeBoer and the No. 8 Alabama Crimson Tide escaped with a 27-24 road win over No. 14 Missouri on Saturday, as quarterback Ty Simpson threw three touchdown passes.

Simpson completed 23-of-31 passes for 200 yards with one fumble and three touchdowns, connecting with Isaiah Horton (34 yards), Kevin Riley and Daniel Hill. Running back Jam Miller added 85 yards on 20 carries in the victory.

The SEC clash marked Alabama’s third conference win, improving to 5-1 on the season, while Missouri dropped to 5-1 and 1-1 in SEC play.

Fans praised Simpson’s poise and performance in the ranked matchup.

Missouri scored on the first possession of the game before Alabama answered with a touchdown connection from Simpson to Riley to even the score at seven heading into the second quarter.

The Crimson Tide kept their foot on the gas in the second, adding another touchdown on a Simpson pass to Horton and a 46-yard field goal from Conor Talty while holding the Tigers scoreless to take a 17-7 lead at halftime.

Simpson fumbled on a sack to open the second half, leading to a Missouri touchdown on the following drive to tie it at 17. Talty’s field goal late in the third quarter put Alabama back on top heading into the fourth.

The Tide had a chance to extend their lead to six after a Missouri interception, but Talty missed a tough 49-yard attempt early in the fourth. Alabama’s defense stood tall, forcing a turnover on downs and setting up a touchdown on a Simpson connection to Hill with 3:16 remaining.

Missouri scored a touchdown with 1:40 remaining to cut the deficit to three and forced a three-and-out to get the ball back. However, quarterback Beau Pribula threw an interception on 3rd-and-10, sealing Alabama’s 27-24 victory.

Alabama will host No. 12 Tennessee next Saturday in Tuscaloosa.
