Nicole Kidman Is Staying in the Spotlight Amid Keith Urban Divorce

If it feels like you are seeing Nicole Kidman everywhere after she filed for divorce from Keith Urban, you might not be wrong.

Kidman feels even more visible after she stepped out with her daughters, Sunday, 17, and Faith, 14, at the Chanel show at Paris Fashion Week. That won’t be the last we see of the 58-year-old actress, according to NewsNation, she’s staying in the spotlight — and for a good reason.

”Nic is about to blanket the media,” an insider revealed to the media outlet. “She is, of course, devastated about her divorce, but she is an actress in her prime and she loves to work.” Kidman is adding more projects to her plate: Girls and their Horses and Discretion in preproduction, along with Scarpetta, a Practical Magic sequel, and Margo’s Got Money Troubles already in the can.

The Oscar winner is expected to be booked and busy with premieres, press junkets, and the award show season. She isn’t going to let Urban’s alleged affair drama drag her down. ”It is deeply misogynistic and unfair for people to blame Nic for the dissolution of her marriage — claiming she was never home and always working,” the source added.

Urban’s unconfirmed fling with guitarist Maggie Baugh keeps making headlines, Kidman is doing the work and getting her narrative out there in Vogue ahead of their public split. She spoke with the publication weeks before their Sept. 29 announcement with a pointed reveal about life in her 50s.

“How many times do you have to be taught that you think you know where your life is going and then it isn’t going in that direction?” Kidman said.

That small tell certainly gave fans pause when they read the Oct. 8 Vogue interview. Still, Kidman isn’t just burying herself in work to push down her heartbreak; she’s reportedly leaning on bestie, Naomi Watts, during her time of need.

“There has been a lot of advice flowing, and Nic listens because Naomi has been through it herself; she had a very public split from Heath Ledger, then Liev Schreiber, so she knows how challenging heartbreak in the spotlight can be, a source explained to the Daily Mail.

Kidman has weathered the storm before during her 2001 split from Tom Cruise after almost 10 years of marriage, but the Urban divorce feels different — these two were supposed to be endgame.

Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack called it a “full-blown midlife crisis” for Urban, leaving Kidman “sad but ready to move on.” She doesn’t want to waste her time on Urban if the affair rumors turn out to be true.

Instead, she’s tackling a new era that has her taking charge of her life with a fresh perspective.
