Dr. Wendy and her husband, Edward Osefo, cast members of The Real Housewives of Potomac, were arrested on October 9 for fraudulently reporting burglary and theft, the Carroll County sheriff’s office confirms. Indicted on October 9 by a grand jury, Wendy faces a total of 15 charges: seven felony charges for false or misleading info fraud in excess of $300, seven misdemeanor charges on false/misleading info fraud in excess of $300, and one misdemeanor charge for lying to an officer, per “Page Six.” Eddie faces nine felony charges and nine misdemeanor charges. On October 10, the couple was released after posting a $50,000 bond each.
The charges surround a report made on April 7, 2024, where the Osefoes alleged their house was broken into while they were in Jamaica and “approximately 80” items were stolen, according to the sheriff. The allegedly stolen items, including jewelry, luxury goods, clothing, and shoes, totaled over $200,000.

Detectives found that the couple had returned at least $20,000 worth of the reportedly stolen items to the stores they were originally bought from prior to the “burglary,” per TMZ. They also found evidence of Wendy wearing a diamond ring that she’d reported missing after the alleged incident. “My family and I are devastated and feel violated by this intrusion,” Osefo told TMZ at the time. “We thank God no one was home … so for that we feel very blessed. Material things can always be replaced.”
