Lamar Jackson (hamstring) is still sidelined, but the Ravens’ injury report is at least improving ahead of Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Safety Kyle Hamilton (groin), cornerback Marlon Humphrey (calf), left tackle Ronnie Stanley (ankle), and fullback Patrick Ricard (calf) are practicing again Friday.
The Ravens also got cornerback Chidobe Awuzie (hamstring), who had missed five straight practices and last Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans, back on the field.
Only three Ravens weren’t practicing Friday: Jackson, linebacker Roquan Smith (hamstring), and wide receiver Devontez Walker (oblique). Smith was walking off the field in street clothes when practice began, indicating he had gone through some sort of workout and that his return may not be too far off.
Getting Hamilton and Humphrey back in the secondary would be huge for a Ravens defense that has given up the most points in the league and ranks No. 31 in pass defense, especially before facing a Rams offense featuring the league’s leading passer, Matthew Stafford, and leading receiver, Puka Nacua.
Head Coach John Harbaugh said the Ravens’ game against the Chicago Bears after the bye is the target for Ricard’s return.
It seems Jackson is set to miss a second straight game. Harbaugh has not given an indication of when the MVP quarterback should be able to return, but the hope is the Ravens come out of the bye totally healthy.
