This Green-Winged Macaw and her sibling, a Jack Russell Terrier, are a fantastic duo, and they’re just so cute together!
She knows just how to keep him occupied. She has a blue ball that she’s eager to throw for him, and he’s absolutely ready to fetch it!

After what seems like forever, where she does a lot of warming up, she even switches feet for a better throw (LOL!). She finally throws it and hits him directly in his head! Make sure you turn your sound up for this one, as you can hear the little “bonk” as it makes contact. Of course, it doesn’t phase the Jack Russell one little bit. He’s just happy he has the ball.
What an absolutely gorgeous bird. Her red, green and blue are so vibrant! And she’s absolutely HUGE! They surely must’ve played this game before, as the Jack Russell seems to know exactly what to expect.
Phil Suzuki400 said, “VERY COOL! I wasn’t expecting that good of a throw!”
Aimee replied that, “Those wiffle balls are no joke. I got hit by one as a kid, and it left a bruised swiss cheese pattern on my arm. It was crazy looking.”

What cool birds and they’re super smart! Their cognitive abilities have been compared to that of a human toddler, they can mimic human voices. Their intelligence often makes them popular choices for trained performers.
And because of their intelligence, they bond deeply with their owners, making them highly popular as pets for those people who want a highly engaging (although somewhat demanding and long-lived) winged companion!
This family has the right idea, though! Train the bird to amuse the (also) highly demanding Jack Russell Terrier–a breed known for their “Go! Go! Go!” attitude! And, as a bonus, it’s adorable to watch!
