Gene Simmons was involved in a car crash Tuesday in Malibu, California.
The KISS rock icon is recovering after deputies responded to a call about a black Lincoln Navigator striking a parked vehicle.
According to NBC News, an adult male driver “might have suffered a medical emergency before the crash,” the sheriff’s department said. The driver was taken to a local hospital.
Shannon Tweed, Simmons’ wife, told NBC Los Angeles the KISS star was involved in the crash.
Simmons, 76, per NBC, told authorities that he had passed out or fainted and then hit a parked car, the station reported.
Tweed said the SUV crossed several lanes of traffic in the accident.
The actress told the station doctors her husband’s medications.
Simmons thanked people on X for their well-wishes and said he was “completely fine.”
“I had a slight fender bender. It happens,” he wrote. “Especially to those of us were horrible drivers. And that’s me. All is well.
“Gene is fine and back to work already,” a rep for the singer told PEOPLE.
