Four found dead at San Francisco home in case deemed ‘suspicious’

Four people were found dead Wednesday at a San Francisco home in a case police described as “suspicious.”

Police responded the 900 block of Monterey Boulevard in the Ingleside neighborhood for a well-being check around 1:23 p.m. and found four unresponsive people inside, a police spokesperson said. All four were declared dead at the scene.

Authorities did not identify them. The city’s medical examiner’s office will determine the cause and manner of death.

“Right now, there is no general threat to the public, and this appears to be an isolated incident,” Officer Robert Rueca, a police spokesman, said at an impromptu news conference.

The police department’s homicide detail is leading the investigation because of the “suspicious nature of the deaths,” Rueca said.

Video from NBC Bay Area on Wednesday afternoon showed a heavy police presence at the home, which was taped off.
