Once you finally get around to going on that snorkeling trip in the Caribbean, make sure your watch is as dazzling as the crystal blue waters.

Timex

The Waterbury nails the dress watch basics: clean dial, leather strap, and just enough vintage flair. At 40mm, it’s an easy fit on most wrists—and a no-brainer if you want sharp looks without the splurge.

Citizen

Garrison Super Titanium Watch

If titanium’s good, Super Titanium’s better. Citizen’s Garrison pairs no-nonsense looks with featherweight comfort—and right now, the price is just as easy to love.

Timex

Weekender Analog Dial Watch

Timex’s aptly-named Weekender watch is a triumph of rugged minimalism, the type of ticker that looks just as home poking out from beneath a fraying denim jacket as it does accenting a textured linen suit.

Timex

Expedition Scout 40mm Watch

There’s beauty in simplicity after all, and Timex’s small-but-mighty resin watch is the dictionary definition of simple.

Seiko

Presage Watch

With a dial that mimics Japanese garden stones, this Seiko delivers Grand Seiko-level texture and elegance—without the five-figure price tag.

The Seiko Tank-style watch toes the line between homage and dupe—but this one lands firmly in the former camp. It’s sharp, affordable, and even better if you catch it on sale.

Seiko

5 Sports SSK005 Watch

The humble Seiko 5 Sports routinely shows up on pretty much every “best watches under $500 list,” and while it’s available in more flavors than Jelly Belly, this version stands out from the pack thanks to the addition of a GMT hand that can be set to display another time zone, making it a first-rate travel accessory, too.

Movado

Museum Watch

For everyone who doesn’t have a Warhol or Lichtenstein on their wall (which is 99% of us), the Movado Museum Classic makes for a much more affordable alternative. Not only is its minimalist design on par with some of modern art’s greatest hits, an early version of this watch sits right alongside those legends in the MoMA’s permanent collection.

CeraVe

Hydrating Facial Cleanser

CeraVe is a staple in the drugstore for good reason—the brand makes some damn good skincare products. Double board-certified dermatologist Dr. Brendan Camp, MD, FAAD, recommends CeraVe’s Hydrating Facial Cleanser for folks looking for a gentle face wash. Even though it’s not stripping, “ingredients like ceramide and hyaluronic acid are featured in this cleanser to remove dirt, product residue and dirt without disrupting the skin’s protective barrier,” he says.

Issey Miyake

L’eau D’Issey Pour Homme Eau de Toilette

L’eau D’Issey is fresh, crisp, lightly spicy, and one of our all-time favorite classic colognes for those reasons. But most importantly: Right now, it’s a damn steal.

GQ associate commerce editor Tyler Chin calls these his summer essential: individually wrapped face wipes that cleanse, cool, and refresh—no sink required.

If your facial sunscreen has SPF 15 or 20, did you even put on face sunscreen, bro? This multi-purpose face cream has an SPF 30 protection to stop UV rays before they damage your skin, plus more anti-aging ingredients to keep your skin firm, smooth, and happy.

Philips Sonicare

ProtectiveClean 5300 Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush

The Waterpik Cordless Advanced is a goddamn miracle. Powerful, portable, and oddly satisfying, it blasts gunk from between your teeth so well you’ll never want to touch dental floss again.

Hermès

Terre D’Hermes Eau Intense Vetiver Eau De Parfum

Even sans discount, it’s hard to resist the allure of Terre D’Hermes, a landmark scent blessed by the first name in age-old French craftsmanship. It’s one of our favorite colognes, because it’s a reliable, invigorating, and head-turning masculine scent that’s perfect for all scenarios and seasons.

Polo Ralph Lauren

Polo Green Eau De Toilette

Polo Ralph Lauren Green was one of the brand’s first fragrances—and the one that really started it all. With pine, leather, tobacco, and patchouli, it’s a bold, woodsy classic that still hits.

Prime Big Deal Days 2025 FAQ

What is Prime Big Deal Days 2025?

Every year, Prime Day lands in July. This year it stretched across a full four days, from Tuesday, July 8 through Friday, July 11. But starting in 2022, Amazon introduced a sequel event in the fall: Prime Big Deal Days. It’s been back every October since, and in 2025 it returns on October 7 and 8.

Expect steep cuts on basics (white tees, polos, denim), activewear, sneakers, and outerwear. Brands like Levi’s, Calvin Klein, Dickies, and Lacoste tend to unload a lot of inventory, while big-ticket electronics from Samsung, LG, and Sonos headline the markdowns. It’s also a sneaky-good time to start on your gift list—the Everything Store even has a dedicated Holiday Gift Shop, perfect if your holiday gifting strategy is typically panic and prayers.

What are the best things to buy on Prime Day?

After years of covering Prime Day and Prime Big Deal Days, our best piece of advice is this: focus on the items you’ve already had your eye on. With so many deals coming at you at once, it’s easy to get sidetracked and start filling your cart with things you never planned to buy. The smartest approach is to stay the course and keep the ol’ noggin clear of impulse buys.

Historically, Amazon-branded products see the biggest discounts. That includes smart home devices like Echo speakers and Ring doorbells; streaming devices like Fire TV sticks; and everyday tech like Kindles and Eero mesh Wi-Fi systems. Generally speaking, if you’ve been meaning to upgrade your tech setup, now’s the time to do it. Think Apple devices, headphones, smart speakers—Prime Day and Prime Big Deal Days tend to deliver solid value in that department.

On the men’s clothing front, the best deals usually land on everyday staples. It’s a good moment to restock on essentials like underwear, socks, and workout basics. You’ll also find solid grooming deals, especially on multi-groomers and electric razors from some of our favorite house-tested brands like Philips Norelco and Braun.

How long do the deals last?

Prime Big Deal Days 2025 officially kicks off on Tuesday, October 7 at 12:01 a.m. PDT and runs straight through the strike of midnight on Wednesday, October 8. So you’ve got two full days to scoop up as many markdowns as your cart can handle.

Do Prime Day deals change each day?

Yep, Prime Day deals definitely change each day, and sometimes even by the hour. Amazon rotates in new discounts each day across all categories (tech, clothing, home, you name it), so what’s here today might be gone tomorrow. Some deals only last 24 hours, and others sell out with a quickness. If you see something you like, it’s probably smart to grab it before it’s gone.

Do you need to be a Prime member to shop Amazon Prime Day?

Yes, you must be an Amazon Prime member to access Prime Big Deal Day’s exclusive deals. If you’re not yet a member, you can sign up for a 30-day trial.

Word to the wise: If you’re not yet a Prime member, you can sign up for a free 30-day trial, which will give you access to the event. After Prime Big Deal Days, there’s nothing stopping you from canceling your membership.

Are things actually cheaper on Prime Day?

A lot of things are cheaper on Prime Day—some at their lowest price all year, and a few at their lowest ever. But not every deal’s a no-brainer. Some discounts are minor, and occasionally, something was cheaper earlier in the year. To double-check, try CamelCamelCamel. It’s a price-tracking site that shows an item’s full Amazon price history, so you can see if today’s deal is actually a deal, or just looks like one. At the end of the day, though, a “good deal” is relative—if you need it now, it’s worth it; if you can wait, maybe wait.

Do other retailers participate in Prime Day?

Prime Big Deal Days is an Amazon-exclusive affair. But plenty of other retailers like to ride the coattails with their own competing sales. We’ll keep you posted on the best ones happening at the same time.
