There will be as many as 12 SKUs in the first batch, according to this leak, where four of them will be the Core Ultra X, four will be regular Core Ultra, and the remaining four will be from the U-series.

Just now, we posted about the possible iGPU configurations for some of the Panther Lake chips, which suggested that only the Core Ultra “X” variants will have 12 Xe3 GPU Cores. However, another leak popped up recently, which kinda confirms this, but also adds another low-end SKU in the “X” lineup. The naming convention here is a bit different from what we have reported. Instead of “Core Ultra X7/X9 3X8H”, this one puts the “X” designation before the model name, i.e., “Core Ultra 7/9 X3X8H”.
Regardless of what the exact naming convention Intel is reportedly going for the Panther Lake “X” chips, we see that the user has also revealed some more SKUs in the lineup. Apparently, Intel is also planning non-X Core Ultra 7 and 9 SKUs, but unlike what we saw previously, the “X” family will also have a Core Ultra 5 chip, namely Core Ultra 5 X338H or Core Ultra X5 338H. However, despite the previous leak suggesting that only “X” variants will have 12 Xe3 cores for the iGPU, the Core Ultra 5 X338H will have only 10 Xe3 cores.
If we move on to the next lineup, we have the regular Core Ultra 5/7/9 3X5H series, which significantly downgrades the iGPU configuration. While Intel is expected to retain the CPU core configuration, all of these will feature only four Xe3 GPU cores. This iGPU configuration is also shared by the low-power Core Ultra 3/5/7 3X0U CPUs, which will be limited to just 6 to 8 CPU cores.
Unlike previously, this leak suggests that there will be nearly a dozen SKUs in the first Panther Lake batch, and has confirmed some of the specifications we have reported before. The only thing yet to be confirmed is whether Intel will go with the Core Ultra X5/X7/X9 or will put the “X” designation at the start of the model numbering. Keep in mind, when we say “Confirm”, it doesn’t make it official. So, take these configurations with a grain of salt.
