Here’s What Taylor Swift Said About Selena Gomez’s Wedding

Last month, a gaggle of A-listers gathered to watch Selena Gomez marry music producer Benny Blanco in Santa Barbara, including Paris Hilton, Ed Sheeran, Paul Rudd, Ashley Park, and Gomez’s Only Murders in the Building co-stars Martin Short and Steve Martin. Of course, her longtime bestie Taylor Swift made an appearance (and, apparently, a speech!), and while I doubt we’ll ever hear what she had to say under that tent, Swift did open up about the nuptials while promoting her new album, The Life of a Showgirl.

While she was on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up on Monday, Swift said her friend was the “most beautiful” bride. “Not just the most beautiful bride,” she said. “Just like, the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.” She also told the hosts she’s thrilled for her friends “when they find happiness,” and is “so happy” for Gomez because “she deserves it so much.” “And you only wish that for people, you know?” Swift said.

The same day, Gomez shared an inside look of her and the singer bonding on her big day, including a clip taken by Swift of her exclaiming, “Are you even serious? What?!” as Gomez got ready to walk down the aisle. The carousel also included photos of the two drinking what appears to be cocktails and hugging, and a screenshot of Swift’s new track “The Fate of Ophelia.” Gomez captioned the post, “In honor of SHOWGIRL .. blessed to have you by my side almost 20 years later gator! I love you @taylorswift forever and always.”

Fingers crossed we get another carousel of the two after Swift’s upcoming wedding to Travis Kelce. I have a feeling she got plenty of planning inspo from Gomez and Blanco’s lavish weekend.
