Emma Watson Flashes a Huge Diamond Ring and Wears a Minidress in Rare Paris Fashion Week Appearance

After a few quiet years, Emma Watson seems to be slowly reentering the fashion and entertainment world. Her latest outing saw her stepping out for the Miu Miu show at Paris Fashion Week on October 6—her first Paris Fashion Week outing in three years.

She sported a pale pink shift dress below a suede jacket with three-quarter length sleeves and completed the look with a pair of black heels with a triple strap and a black handbag. She also rocked a pair of round sunglasses. She wore her hair, newly highlighted, in soft waves and a side part.

Watson wore an array of small rings on her right hand, while, on her left hand, she wore a single large diamond on her ring finger.

According to Philip Dawson, Managing Director of U.K.-based fine jewelery retailer Lily Arkwright, it’s a split-shank halo design. “The split band serving a vital purpose in supporting the large halo and beautifully accentuating the brilliance of the round cut central diamond, which I estimate at around 1.5 carats,” he said.

Watson famously announced that she was “self-partnered” in 2019. Last year, she clarified to British Vogue that it wasn’t “necessarily about me celebrating being single. Getting to the point when I was 30, I was realizing, ‘Oh, maybe I’ve figured out some things about how to care for myself better—maybe quite well, actually.’ And taking pride in that.”

Watson made another surprise appearance earlier in the summer, stepping out at the Venice Film Festival in a brown Gucci shift dress and debuting her new soft blonde highlights. In May, she also made an appearance at the Cannes Film Festival.

Last month, Watson gave a few rare interviews. Speaking to Hollywood Authentic, Watson hinted that she was working on a new project. “I’m working on—actually, I’m not going to say what, because then people are like, ‘Well, when is it happening? What’s going on with this thing?’” she said. “So I’m just going to say that I’m working on something that I’ve never done before.”

The actress also made her first-ever podcast appearance on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose. During the appearance, she opened up about the pressure on young women to marry calling it “the least romantic thing I can possibly think of.” She added, “I think it’s such a violence and it’s such a cruelty on people—and especially young people, and especially women—to make them feel like they have no worth, or like they haven’t succeeded yet in life, because they haven’t forced to its culmination something that I just don’t think can or should ever be forced.”
