Colts kicker Spencer Shrader out for remainder of 2025 season

Kicker Spencer Shrader will miss the remainder of the 2025 season after sustaining ACL and MCL injuries when Raiders safety Tristin McCollum collided with his kicking leg on a PAT in the second quarter of the Colts’ Week 5 win over Las Vegas, head coach Shane Steichen said Monday.

Steichen said the Colts will work out a handful of kickers this week prior to Wednesday’s first practice of Week 6.

Shrader connected on a league-high 13 of 14 field goal attempts (92.9 percent) and all 14 of his PATs in five games. The second-year kicker was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for September.

“Disappointed for him,” Steichen said. “He was having a hell of a season. … It’s going to be very difficult to replace a guy like that.”
