The Job System is at the heart of Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, letting you shape your army into a variety of classic Final Fantasy jobs like Black Mage, Summoner, and Dragoon. Every character begins with a simple job, but as you gain Job Points (JP) and raise levels across different roles, you’ll unlock a sprawling tree of more advanced options.
Mastering jobs is essential to building a balanced party. More advanced jobs require higher levels in multiple other jobs. But there are plenty of unique “special jobs” tied to story characters like Agrias, Cid, and many others.
This page lists all generic jobs you can unlock and train any unit in, along with special jobs that only appear for certain characters. If you’re looking to optimize your team, keep track of prerequisites, or just see which powerful roles you can aim for, this guide has you covered.
This guide is a work in progress…
