HP showcased a new compact workstation that leverages the powerful AI capabilities of NVIDIA Blackwell architecture-based GB10 superchip.
HP NVIDIA GB10-based Unveils ZGX Nano G1n Compact AI Workstation, Measuring Just 150mm x 150mm x 51mm, and Brings Modern Connectivity
Hardware manufacturer HP has introduced one of its most powerful compact workstations called ZGX Nano G1n, which appears somewhat similar to the HP Z2 Mini G1a, but offers the power of NVIDIA’s Blackwell GB10 superchip. The ZGX Nano G1n measures just 15 cm x 15 cm x 5 cm, bringing great portability while delivering excellent computing power, thanks to the incredible GB10 SoC superchip, which brings the power of Grace CPU and Blackwell-based GPU.
The ZGX Nano G1n AI Station features the ZGX Toolkit, a software stack, and will run on NVIDIA’s AI Stack (DGX OS ) to enable a smoother development experience. The machine can deliver 1000 TOPS of AI compute, thanks to the NVIDIA Blackwell GPU, which is a powerful GPU with 6144 CUDA Cores and comes with the latest 5th Gen Tensor Cores for improving perfomrance in AI workloads. connected to the 20-core NVIDIA Grace CPU via NVLink-C2C chip-to-chip interconnect, it’s ready to bring powerful performance while bringing best-in-class power efficiency.
One of the strongest selling points of the ZGX Nano G1n is its unified 128 GB LPDDR5X memory, which is shared by both the CPU and GPU, eliminating any memory bottlenecks. Also, it offers scalability via Interconnect, which allows users to link two such units via a 200 Gbps QSFP/ConnectX-7 interface that doubles the performance and makes it ideal for larger models.
As far as connectivity is concerned, the ZGX Nano G1n is equipped with high-bandwidth connectivity ports such as USB Type C 20 Gbps ports and a fast 10 Gbps Ethernet port for supporting blazing-fast internet. However, the machine also brings WiFi 7 for high-speed wireless internet and Bluetooth 5.4 support for wireless device connectivity. For display output, the ZGX Nano G1n brings a single HDMI port, but the version isn’t clear from the official website.
As per the report, the HP ZGX Nano G1n AI Station will be launched this Autumn, but the exact date isn’t known.
