MLB World Series odds shift ahead of divisional matchups

There’s a new World Series favorite heading into the divisional round.

But it’s also a familiar one.

The Dodgers (+320), who were favorites to repeat nearly all season long before a late-season dip, reclaimed favorite status after sweeping the Reds in two games during their wild-card matchup.

After surviving the first round of the postseason, the Dodgers take over the top spot from the Phillies (+475), who were brief World Series favorites after earning a wild-card round bye.

With a series win over the rival Red Sox, the Yankees (+550) are now tied with the Mariners for best World Series odds of any team in the American League.

The top-seeded Blue Jays, who host the Bombers in Game 1 on Saturday and won eight of 13 regular-season clashes between the teams, own the third-best odds at +850.

The National League’s top seed, Milwaukee, is actually getting little respect with its 8/1 odds marking the lowest of any of the four teams left in the league.

The Cubs, whom they meet in the NLDS, sit slightly ahead at +750 odds.

The Tigers are the biggest long shot left among the eight teams with their +950 odds.

The Dodgers came into the season as a massive favorite to repeat in 2025.
