After designer Jonathan Anderson showed his debut as the creative director of Christian Dior in menswear this summer, The Cut fashion critic Cathy Horyn wrote that she hoped “a clearer sense of edge … will emerge in his first women’s collection this fall.” Well, today we saw what else Anderson has in store for the fashion house. Below is everything we saw at the spring-summer 2026 Dior show.
Anderson’s womenswear debut for Dior took place in Paris on Wednesday, October 1, at 8:30 a.m. ET. You can livestream the show for free on Dior’s website.
You can rest easy knowing that Jimin of BTS was at the Dior show today, and was shirtless and “glowing,” as one fan said. Thank you, Mr. Anderson!

This summer was all about the jorts, but next summer will be about the miniskirt if all goes according to Dior’s plan. On the runway, the brand unveiled so many versions, from casual jean minis to frilly bubble skirts. Will the trend stick, or will it be more for show?

There were, of course, new shoes at Dior — and something you can always expect from Anderson is a fun pair of shoes. There were ladylike heels and the standout rose-shaped heels that I’m sure will be on everyone’s feet next season.

The daughter of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban (and budding model) walked the runway in a gray blouse with a necktie and black trousers. She made her Paris Fashion Week debut at Miu Miu in March.

Remember that saddlebag every influencer and their mother were convincing you to buy from Dior two years ago? Let’s put her to bed for just a moment. Anderson sent new bag silhouettes down the runway: tiny clutches, massive satchels, bitchy shoulder bags. Obsessed.

The Dior accessories (almost) stole the show, especially the oversized triangle hats gracing the heads of many models. Think: high couture sailor.

The final look of Jonathan Anderson’s womenswear debut was a white dress with scalloped details, a reference to Dior’s iconic Junon dress from the couture fall-winter 1949 collection. Chic.

Anderson’s first Dior womenswear show managed to get a fashion crowd on their feet and smiling: The runway concluded with rousing applause from the audience. Brava!

Before the start of the show, Dior ushered Paris’s fashion crowd into a huge room with a three-dimensional, diamond-shaped screen emerging from a Dior box placed in the center of Anderson’s debut. Onscreen, a stirring short film featured a retrospective of the brand.

Lo and behold, the CEO of Team Jeremiah showed up to the scene of the crime. Just kidding, but JLaw did show up to Dior in Paris and she looks great.
Jisoo went to the show with what appears to be a new, very cute, very rococo-esque bag by Anderson.
We’re here for the fashion, sure … but what we’re actually here to see are dogs (!). Any peek of a tiny little canine we can get keeps us going. Mikey Madison delivered by bringing her dogs, Birdie and Peaches, to her fitting at Dior. Do we think they’ll be dressed by the brand too? God, I hope so.

We knew Dior would bring out all the celebs (see below), but seeing Jenna Ortega in attendance feels extra special (!). But what exactly is she wearing? I need to see a full body shot ASAP, because right now. It’s giving … Michael Jackson?

The new darling of Jonathan Anderson’s Dior arrived in a pink polo shirt, black blazer, and sheer white polka-dot midi skirt.
Michelle Monaghan, channelling little-lad energy, Anya Taylor-Joy serving Inspector Gadget (complimentary), and Rosalía all attended.

A native of Northern Ireland, Anderson is one of the most celebrated contemporary designers right now. The creative director, who recently left Loewe to take over at Dior (and has his own namesake label, JW Anderson), has been in the fashion world for almost two decades. In the time since he founded his eponymous brand in 2008 and took over at Loewe in 2013, he has built up reverence for both and essentially revived the then-dormant Spanish house. As our own Cathy Horyn says, Anderson’s work often comes across as “casually nonbinary.” Think flowy tunics, ruffled shorts, and billowy slacks sent down the runway on men and women alike. After rumors swirled for months, Anderson was officially announced as the creative director of Dior men’s and womenswear earlier this year. His namesake brand has pivoted to working with artisans on things like chic blankets, ceramics, and even honey.
Anderson presented his first collection for the brand in June to mostly positive reviews. The line, created almost entirely using swatches from Christian Dior’s first two collections, seemed to please his captivated audience but also leave them wanting more. The Cut’s Cathy Horyn said, “Unlike most of his Dior predecessors, Anderson didn’t make a sharp statement out of the gate.” The New York Times’ Vanessa Friedman echoed Horyn’s sentiment, writing of the debut, “It was not a capital N New Look. It wasn’t that radical, or shocking. But it was an awfully charming newish one.”
Invites for Dior have started circulating on the internet, and they’re literally a little nuts. The invite looks like a plate of walnut and chestnut sculptures. Last season’s menswear invite featured a plate of eggs.
Earlier this week, Anderson blessed our feeds with a sneak peak of his womenswear debut. The creative director posted photos of a new shoe silhouette on Instagram — and if it’s any indication of what’s to come, we can’t wait to see the full collection. The shoe features an asymmetrical, angular toe and puffy satin bows, marrying Anderson’s signature whimsy with the classic femininity of Dior. “First time I wanted a Dior shoe,” one person wrote in the comments. In June, footwear designer Nina Christen announced she would be joining Dior as design director of shoes. She previously worked under Anderson at Loewe, where she dreamed up those brilliant Balloon and Comic Foam Pumps.
