
CLEVELAND, Ohio — Thursday will mark the first time in Major League Baseball history that three winner-take-all elimination games take place on the same day. The Guardians’ Game 3 showdown against the Tigers will be part of the action.
- Tigers vs. Guardians (Flaherty vs. Cecconi), 3:08 p.m. on ABC.
- Padres vs. Cubs (Darvish vs. Taillon), 5:08 p.m. on ESPN.
- Red Sox vs. Yankees (Early vs. Schlittler), 8:08 p.m. on ESPN.
Originally scheduled for a 1:08 p.m. first pitch, Cleveland’s game against Detroit will now take place at 3:08 p.m. inside Progressive Field.
MLB moved the start time back two hours after the Dodgers eliminated the Reds in Game 2 of their National League wild card series.
