The Phillies have announced that the Red October On-Deck Intrasquad Game presented by Citizens, being held tonight at Citizens Bank Park, is now sold out. More than 31,000 fans purchased tickets to the “Made for Red October” event.
When tickets went on sale this past Saturday, the club initially set the capacity at 20,000. Due to an incredible fan response, the Phillies then expanded the allotment.
“Our fans continue to show why they are simply the best,” said Phillies Senior Vice President of Ticket Operations John Weber. “More than 31,000 will be in the stands for our first-ever postseason intrasquad game, bringing their same energy and passion that have continuously created an electric atmosphere at Citizens Bank Park. We’re excited to host this special event as we gear up for Game 1 of the National League Division Series.”
To add to the experience, the seven-inning contest will feature special alumni interactions and familiar aspects of official games, such as pregame player introductions, appearances by the Phillie Phanatic and more.
The Red October On-Deck Intrasquad Game presented by Citizens, which sold out in four days with net ticket sale proceeds benefitting Phillies Charities, Inc., will begin at 6:00 p.m. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. Parking is free in Lots P, S, T and U, along with a portion of Lot M, with lots opening at 4:00 p.m.
