Over the past couple of weeks, Samsung has quickly accelerated the release of the One UI 8.0 update. Earlier today, the update was also released to the Galaxy Tab S9 series. Now, the South Korean firm has released the One UI 8.0 update to the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series.
Galaxy Tab S10 FE gets One UI 8.0 (Android 16) update
The Android 16-based One UI 8.0 update is now available for the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+. It comes with firmware version ending in BYI7 and is currently available in South Korea. The company could release the update in other countries and regions in the next few days.
If you have a Galaxy Tab S10 FE or a Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ and live in South Korea, you can check for the new update by opening the Settings app and navigating to Software update ยป Download and install. Once the update is downloaded, tap the Install now button. The tablet will then restart after a few minutes.
The Galaxy Tab S8 series hasn’t received the update yet, despite being a much more powerful and pricier tablet than the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series.
What does One UI 8 bring to Galaxy Tab S10 FE series?
The One UI 8.0 update brings several new and improved features to the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series. It introduces a major redesign for Quick Share, which now has a full-screen design and two separate tabs for Send and Receive functions. The Samsung Internet app has also been redesigned.
The new software brings management improvements for alarms, calendar events, and reminders. Samsung DeX has received a major change, as it is now based on Android 16’s Desktop Mode. It allows screen rotation options (90, 180, or 270 degrees). Side-by-side multitasking has also been improved.
Modes and Routines have also received new actions and conditions. Profile Card and Secure Folder have received improvements with One UI 8.0. Bluetooth Auracast and Weather app improvements are also a part of the One UI 8.0 update.
