President Donald Trump congratulated Team Europe’s Ryder Cup in Bethpage, New York, after raucous victory chant pointedly called him out.
“Are you watching, are you watching Donald Trump?” the players shouted, trophy in hand, echoing the jeers of their supporters during the closing ceremony.
Trump, who had attended the event days earlier, shared the clip Sunday as he responded on Truth Social: “Yes, I’m watching. Congratulations!”

Players and reporters accused sections of the Bethpage crowd, and even one of the official emcees, of crossing the line to heckle Team Europe and, particularly, Rory McIlroy.
Comedian Heather McMahan apologized and stepped down after leading a “f*ck you Rory” chant. The Northern Irishman endured taunting throughout the weekend, at one point snapping back at fans to “shut the f*ck up” while he was preparing a shot.
Several spectators were ejected as European players battled through the jeers, fending off a fierce final-day comeback from the United States to seal a dramatic 15-13 Ryder Cup triumph at Bethpage Black.
Celebrations continued as the team made their way back home.
