What To Do if You Have the Recalled Corn Dogs and Sausage Products
FSIS has received multiple complaints about finding wooden pieces in State Fair and Jimmy Dean products. At this time, five injuries have also been reported from consuming the recalled corn dog and sausage on a stick products. The Hillshire Brands Company has identified the issue, which was caused by the wooden sticks entering the production process before the battering process.
If you have any of the recalled State Fair and Jimmy Dean products, they are unsafe and you should not consume them. FSIS has classified this recall as “High,” meaning that eating the products has a “reasonable probability” of “serious adverse health consequences or death.”
Instead, you should throw the recalled frozen foods away or return them to the original place of purchase for a full refund.
