A mother of a newborn baby is going viral after winning her local monthly fighting game tournament — all while holding her five-day-old child in her arms.
‘Legi0n’ is a 3D artist and mother who “occasionally” plays fighting games when she has time in between working and taking care of her newborn daughter, Cereza.
Her skills haven’t dulled a bit in spite of the new addition to her family, as evidenced by her viral victory at her local monthly tournament, Juicy Game Night, in Orlando, Florida.
Juicy Game Night hosts tournaments for a slew of different fighting games, one of those being Mortal Kombat XL. On Saturday, September 27, the Florida fighting game community gathered together to put their skills to the test — and the results are taking social media by storm.

Baby Cereza was born on September 22, 2025, via C-section. The pregnancy was a complicated one, as Legi0n had developed a ‘uterine window,’ a condition where the material of the uterus has severely thinned from previous C-sections to the point where it’s nearly transparent.
On top of this, she had also suffered “severe” pain in the days leading up to the birth, with doctors explaining that if she’d gone into active labor, she could have ruptured her uterus. Because of this, they started delivery a bit earlier via cesarean section.
Five days after welcoming Cereza to the world, Legi0n and her hubby took their bundle of joy along with them to their local fighting game tournament on a “last-minute” whim — and despite recovering from a grueling surgical procedure, she decided to compete.
With her five-day-old daughter resting in her arms, Legi0n worked her way through the four-person bracket, beating her own husband to land in Grand Finals against fellow player King Kai.
In a 3-2 victory, the Mortal Kombat mom took first place, winning $28 and a trip to DreamHack Atlanta in late October. The community celebrated her win on social media, marveling at how impressive it was, considering she was comforting her baby while playing.
For Legi0n, this represents more than a happy reunion with friends — it’s a reminder that parents can still do the things they love while taking care of their children.
“So glad that we honestly left the house and did this,” she wrote on X. “Our daughter’s so chill around noise and car rides, possibly because I traveled so much while pregnant. …Never want to stop doing things that I love, just need to adjust my life accordingly for our younger daughter.”
“I just want people to feel like no matter what they can do things that they still love, even if it’s in small chunks. Never feel like it isn’t worth it.”
Legi0n has been outspoken about her pregnancy journey, explaining that she nearly died due to childbirth complications resulting from both Cereza’s birth and the birth of her first daughter, Alcina, who tragically lived for only 11 days due to a tumor caused by Kasabach Merritt Syndrome.
“I want to be very vocal about how serious pregnancy and childbirth as a whole is,” she said on X. “You can literally die, and I almost did. Twice.”
We reached out to Legi0n for comment, who wanted to highlight a nonprofit organization called NORD (the National Organization for Rare Diseases). NORD is an advocacy group that aims to educate, advance research, and drive policy for the treatment of rare diseases.
Legi0n told us that she donated to NORD after Alcina’s death and sent them some of her daughter’s medical records, which could help doctors and researchers learn more about her condition and help other children in need.
She’s exceedingly grateful for the support from her local scene, shining a heartwarming light on the ‘community’ aspect of the fighting game community in her posts.
“We’re never lonely, and as long as we continue to try to do the same in return, we will always be fortunate to have so many friends who care about us and have our backs during the really horrible times, instead of only celebrating when things are good,” she wrote.
“I love celebrating milestone life stuff with the people around us, too. So I’m glad that I had that opportunity at least a handful of times before our younger daughter was born, definitely won’t be the last time.”
