There was no doubt that Paul Thomas Anderson was going to deliver a damn good movie with One Battle After Another, the first of his films released in the IMAX format. But the buzziest movie of the fall season has become the must-see event of the year. For those who can’t make it to a theater, perhaps you’re wondering where and how to stream the acclaimed action thriller. If that’s you, you’ve come to the right place.
Directed by Anderson and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, One Battle After Another tells the story of a former revolutionary and off-the-grid survivalist who scrambles to find his missing daughter (Chase Infiniti). The movie also stars Benicio del Toro, Sean Penn, Regina Hall, and Tony Goldwyn.

Is One Battle After Another Streaming?
As of this moment, One Battle After Another is not streaming. It is currently only playing in theaters and was designed to be experienced as such.
That said, as a Warner Bros. release, One Battle After Another has a more certain home release than movies from other studios. As is typical for Warner Bros. movies, One Battle After Another is expected to release on PVOD platforms a month after the movie’s September 26 theatrical release date. There is no concrete date, but it’s usually just after a month when Warner movies become available to purchase or rent on digital storefronts.
But being a Warner Bros. movie, of course, there’s the obvious destination: HBO Max. For most Warner Bros. releases, new movies make it to HBO Max approximately 80 days after the theatrical release. A recent example would be Superman. Released July 11, the movie was added to HBO Max on September 26 (yes, the release date of One Battle After Another). That’s just shy of 80 days. Judging by this measurement, One Battle After Another should arrive on HBO Max around December 13—just in time for the holidays.
