Pete Davidson Defends Pedro Pascal From Online Trolls Who Say He’s In Everything

Pete Davidson is defending Pedro Pascal over criticism from consumers who feel he appears in too many things in the media simultaneously.

Pascal starred in the second season of HBO’s The Last of Us and also appeared in films such as Gladiator IIEddingtonMaterialists, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, all of which premiered within a year.

Davidson acknowledged during an appearance on This Past Weekend with Theo Von that Pascal has been in the industry for a long time, calling him “hardworking” and a “great actor,” giving him props for his work on Eddington.

“He’s worked so hard, he’s been a struggling actor and blows up so f***ing hard,” Davidson said. “Everyone’s like, ‘Daddy, daddy.’ And then a year later, he’s like in everything now, cos he’s hot and big and everyone’s like, ‘Go the f*** away, dude.’ It’s like, ‘Dude.’”

Davidson said after Pascal’s newfound fame, “You’ve got to give someone time to adjust to that new level of fame,” adding, “He’s been banging at it for 30 years and now he’s like, he’s learning how to get a cup of coffee or deal with someone that taps on your shoulder while you have your earbuds in and freaks you out. You have to give that guy a second to adjust.”

The former SNL star predicts that Walton Goggins might be next, where someone is built up only to be brought down soon after.

“It’s like so fast [for people] to turn,” he added. “It’s within months.”

Pascal has more projects coming up, including The Mandalorian and Grogu film, and Avengers: Doomsday, where he will reprise his Fantastic Four role as Mister Fantastic. Both films are set for release in 2026.
